Wyt Queens

Equipment:

A chess board or draughts (checker) board, several white counters to represent white chess Queens.

Number of players:

2

The Set-up:

Players decide how many counters (chess Queens) they will play with and also their initial position on the board. There is no restriction on the number of counters that can occupy one square.

A Move:

Each counter represents a chess Queen however the Queen's possible moves are restricted to any number of squares in the three directions North, West and North West:

At your turn you move one counter (Queen) at least one square. Since movement off the board is not possible all the counters eventually arrive in the top left square of the board. Queens are free to jump over other Queens that they may encounter on their move and several Queens may occupy the same square.

You win:

If your opponent has no legal move. In other words the player to move the last Queen onto the top left square wins.
