Madras College Senior Phase Evening Thursday 2nd October at 6pm
All S3/4/5/6 parents/carers and pupils are invited to Madras College Senior Phase Evening on 2nd October
The evening will have talks from College and University representatives and as well as our SDS Careers staff and our academic staff.
Our Qualifications
There will be an input on the qualifications, we offer beyond NQs i.e. Nationals, Highers and Advanced Highers as well as an input regarding Maths and English qualifications in the senior phase.
Careers Advice on Pathways
Our SDS representatives will give advice on pathways to a positive destination, whether it be work, college, university and gap years
Colleges applications and Modern Apprenticeships
There will be advice on application processes for colleges, universities as well as information about Foundation Apprenticeships and Modern Apprenticeships.
Applying through UCAS
A presentation from The University of St Andrews Admissions Team regarding the process and tips for writing personal statements
Departmental and Subject Advice
In the canteen area and other areas of the school, there will also be Departmental Displays for information on:

6.20 – 6.30 pm SDS Presentation- Work and HE /FE College Pathways – Assembly Hall
SDS representatives will share their knowledge and expertise on how Madras College pupils can achieve a positive destination through various pathways: work, apprenticeships, college and university
6.30 – 7 pm UCAS Presentation by St Andrews University – Assembly Hall
University of St Andrews will offer advice to all prospective University applicants on the UCAS process and admissions procedures
7pm - 8.00 pm Faculty/ Subject Information – Canteen and breakout space
